Managing new and existing product development from concept brief through to launch whilst working closely with the Research and Development team to establish parameters, and with the Commercial Team to manage customer expectation and product promotions. Working within a team of four students, the aim was to develop a product range to meet requirements set out by the client. For 4 months I conducted research in the field of Product Service Systems. This required me to investigate several different areas of how a product based business can transform to meet customer needs better through its services. The outcomes I achieved for the project included an in depth literature review and a concept business strategy to allow a company to progress to a Product Service System.

I travelled to Shanghai, China in 2007 with Special Olympics Ireland as a volunteer with the gymnastic team. To go I needed to raise £5,000. To do this, I organised bucket collected, sponsored runs, a craft fair and a night in a Chinese restaurant and I was also able to gain support from local businesses and councils. My total fundraising efforts came to just over £7,000.
