Hi! My name is Keriene Wright,I am an highly motivated (MHT) Mental Health Technician/Psyche Attendant my goal is to provide quality patient care. Overall I have worked in the medical field over a decade as a medical assistant and phlebotomist during said time my passion within the healthcare field and I realized I wanted to make a positive impact. In doing so I considered becoming a psychologist, yet of course! Small but consistent steps were needed to make this happen. I studied and attained my Associates of Arts in Psychology in the year 2017. Shortly after I was given the opportunity to work as a psyche attendant/mental health technician within the justice system. I was able to Apply de-escalation and limit-setting techniques to promote patient cooperation.Engaged with colleagues in treatment team meetings to promote positive patient treatment outcomes. Helped patients with meals, activities of daily living (ADLs) and facility transfers to promote security and patient well-being.Performed scheduled patient safety checks and documented results to establish patients' well-being. Observed patient behaviors and mental status and notified provider of unusual or potentially dangerous occurrences.
