As an emergency preparedness specialist at Southern Nuclear Company, I am responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining emergency response plans and procedures to ensure the safety and continuity of operations. I conduct risk assessments, coordinate training and drills for employees, and collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. I create Security LTAMs as needed for upcoming projects and attend the associated Plant Health Working Group (PHWG) meetings for adoption/approval. I evaluate all load center outages through the unit specific load lists and update the load center swap book as necessary. I communicate daily with the FIN maintenance team to rectify all emergent security equipment outages effecting KPIs.
