Transitioned from clinical practice of psychiatry to leading start-up non-profit guiding and advocating for physicians' rights in their dealings with state medical licensing and credentialing authorities.

Serve as a principal consultant to Speak Up at Work Ltd, a firm specializing in helping organizations build healthier cultures which have clear principles and procedures around sexual, racial, and other forms of harassment; physical and psychological safety; and unethical, unprofessional and illegal behavior. In the context of this, I co-founded Speak Up Academy with Animah Kosai, the lead partner at Speak Up at Work Ltd. Speak Up Academy is a private, membership-only learning community of thought leaders and change-agents in each of these areas of concern. We offer a small group learning environment for any workplace professionals who is affected by or in a position of leadership and guidance around these issues. Our supportive community gathers weekly remotely for Speak Up Cafe where we address timely topics of concern in these focal areas. We also feature "essentials" classes on the art and skill of speaking up; organizational culture; authentic leadership; sexual harassment; and how-to's about speaking up about fraud and corruption. Twice a month, SUA features a public interactive webinar on a key topic, e.g. bullying, whistleblowing, racial discrimination, and workplace mental health to name a few. The first gathering we term "Speak Up Voices" and I and co-host Animah Kosai offer a succinct framing of the prominent concerns about this prevalent issue and we then bring up participants form the general audience to enable them to share their perspectives and experiences. In the latter half of the month, we offer "Speak Up Spotlight" in which we interview one or two experts on the same selected topic, e.g. Bullying in the Workplace, and have a deeper dive into the topic. And likewise, we allow a full 30 minutes for Q&A from our participants. As a result of these, participants are not only more informed but are more connected with other participants. And they get to learn more about our unique Speak Up Academy Community.

Offering industry knowledgeable career guidance and team workshops for healthcare professionals.

Clinical psychiatric practice with particular attention to active duty service-members grappling with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), TBI (traumatic brain injury) and myriad deployment-related conditions. The Integrative Health Care concept incorporates multiple modes of mental health care, integration with select medical specialty providers (e.g. internal medicine, neurology, cardiology et al.) and additionally welcomes a range of holistic approaches to healing and fullest recovery.

Developing and delivering coaching program for physicians and all other medical personnel grappling with burnout and helping them explore possibilities for career modification.Developing targeted approaches to "people issues" in healthcare - helping practice groups and departments assess staff sentiment and their perception of key problem areas. We develop interactive workshops which focus on addressing the key areas where improvement is needed, e.g. improving communication; team effectiveness; empowering staff; enhancing emotional intelligence and others.Give presentations to medical groups on understanding exactly what burnout is - and is not - and specific ways to clarify its key contributors (everyone's array is different) and implement specific strategies towards its resolution.

Took a "break" from internal medicine internship as I wasn't sure that was the direction I wanted to go. took a position as an emergency room physician with a small group practice. This was the penultimate of learning by the seat of your pants. It was invaluable in helping me think on my feet and navigate uncertainty in the midst of extraordinarily high stress. It also gave me a great appreciation for those who've chosen this incredible specialty which, when I entered into this interim position, was not yet such.
