The Team Lead for Software Development at iGovTT is responsible for leading a team of developers to deliver high-quality software solutions, ensuring adherence to coding standards, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation in software development.

I lead and motivate a talented, multidisciplinary team 12 persons consisting of policymakers, developers, designers and analysts. Together, we design and develop new applications, configuration of infrastructure upgrades and development of test procedures to be used by various Ministries and State Agencies.◾ Researched, scoped and implemented Trinidad and Tobago's first Government Omni channel Live Chat and Chatbot system (ttGovChat) that is used across eleven (11)Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies and supports over 65,000 local and international chats per year, of which 48% are automated using AI.◾ Execute the development and implementation of three enterprise SaaS solutions for GoRTT - employment (EmployTT) which has cut shortlisting time by 50%, appointment and time scheduling (eAppointment) which facilitates over 500 appointments per month and facilitating online payments (GovPayTT), which has collected over 2 million in revenue.◾ Develop metrics to test and monitor applications, ensuring consistent improvement.◾ Coordinate with external technology vendors, internal staff members and third party consultants to achieve business goals for SaaS solutions.◾ Create business processes, best practices, standards, templates and operating and change management procedures to optimize IT project development and software deployment.◾Collect, analyse and prioritize stakeholder feedback to develop product roadmaps.◾ Create product roadmaps that depict product strategy, vision and positioningAs a Team Lead, my goals are to not only ensure our projects finish on time and within budget, it also encompasses working with various departments, external vendors and other Ministries. Swift, concise communication, the ability to quickly make informed decisions and keeping an open mind and willingness to compromise where necessary are just a few fundamental aspects of this role.

My goals within this role were to ensure that I followed all procedures and exceeded the expectations of our Service Level Agreements. Provide training to members of the government and finally to provide recommendations on how iGovTT and other organisations can improve their processes by using enterprise-wide applications.◾ Reviewed all technical software recommendations.◾ Analysed and recommended new functional features for several Government Projects such as ttconnect portal.◾ Managed the migration of content from the old CMS system to IBM’s WebSphere, while redesigning taxonomy for all content.◾ Managed the CA Service Desk application upgrades and ensured all technical aspects of the project were implemented on time including training all team members.◾ Managed the deployment of high profile projects such as ttconnect portal high availability and its' portal servers’ relocation and decommissioning.

Provided technical support to the users of the Government-wide area network (GWAN). Offered counselling and training on LAN connectivity and usage of the GWAN service. Support was provided by adhering to Service Level Agreements with over 25 government ministries. In addition to providing research, software recommendations and system choices to meet several Government organizations’ business requirements.

KewsPlus was my attempt to create a startup to turn the media streaming mobile application I created named Chune into a legitimate business. ◾ We were also awarded the Prime Minister Special Award for Scientific Ingenuity 2015, for developing Chune.◾ Successful in MusicTT’s Open Call for Proposals 2016, gaining a cash investment for Chune.◾ Hired and managed developers to complete the app.
