Joined Avaya through the Spoken Communications acquisition. The Spoken technology became the platform for a cloud-native (AWS) contact center as a service (CCaaS) product. In this role, I lead the Avaya Cloud engineering effort as we deliver global on-demand cloud-based telecommunication services.

Lead Quantum’s Seattle innovation center working on the intersection of storage and distributed computing. Lead the Castle and Rook teams (https://rook.io) where we were taking a fresh look at the intersection of enterprise/cloud storage and software-defined infrastructure. Ultimately we launched Rook as a CNCF incubator project that continues today.

DreamBox Learning is the thought leader in online adaptive instruction. We built this business from inception to serving over 15% of the K-6 students in the United States with exceptional results.Built teams in Software Engineering, Cloud Operations, Information Technology, Product Management, Learning Innovation and Data. Built an intern pipeline.Responsible for strategic planning and product roadmap as well as the architectural roadmap and intellectual property. Responsible for the cloud strategy and the technology that powers adaptive learning.As a member of the executive team, engaged in all aspects of the operations including ongoing financing, board meetings, public speaking, etc. Brought a consistent focus on data and metrics to the organization.

Became the CEO for six months following the recapitalization of the company. During this time we built the infrastructure (technology, content, team, facilities/Real Estate) that would power the institutional (school) strategy and recruited the new CEO to drive this strategy.

Responsible for the PortMagic and NetworkMagic products and the business relationship with America Online.
