Project Officer at Tourism WA, Destination Development. My key areas of interest within tourism relate to the sustainable development of tourism in areas such as ecotourism, Indigenous tourism, and geotourism. My recent postgraduate research study focused on stakeholder perceptions of geopark development on Rottnest Island, the findings of which I presented in December of 2020 at the Global Eco Asia-Pacific Tourism Conference held in Margaret River. Prior to postgraduate study, I completed a Double Bachelor of Arts and Business, majoring in Tourism and Hospitality Management and Writing, and minoring in Indigenous Studies.Six years of tourism studies at Edith Cowan University have contributed to my up-to-date knowledge of key issues influencing tourism development within and outside WA. In addition to my studies, I have been involved with organisations such as FACET and Geoparks WA, which have further contributed to my tourism knowledge, particularly in regard to sustainable tourism development. My passion for learning and keen interest in the tourism industry will ensure I continue to expand my knowledge of tourism development both within Western Australia and on a broader scale.
