Lead the IFC's climate policy efforts and efforts to accelerate green investment in its portfolio and to engage institutional investors in the green infrastructure play

- Engaged business and governments to create clean energy investment opportunities in developing/emerging economies - Delivered action and targeted recommendations on how to drive private investment in green growth to G8, G20 and UNFCCC process- Worked with key industry sectors to identify sustainable energy pathways and implement them- Provided targeted input to international dialogues on the right policy levers that can catalyze private investment in green growth

- Managed the Agency's clean energy analysis work, including coordinating analytical input to multilateral fora like the Clean Energy Ministerial and the G8/G20 and the IEA's suite of energy technology roadmaps.- Led analysis of clean energy policy best practices, to guide governments in accelerating energy technology from research to competitive market status.- Coordinated research and analysis on CCS, electric vehicles, energy efficiency, renewable energy and biofuels as input to the roadmaps and other IEA publications.

Managed 12 professional staff to establish and implement voluntary programs that promote renewable energy, combined heat and power and proactive corporate climate change strategies.• Developed strategic plans, managed a $3.5M budget, developed metrics for measuring success, including progress toward national greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets.• Briefed senior EPA, White House, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and State Department staff on key issues related to climate change and clean energy efforts.• Represented the U.S. government in international processes, including Climate Change Bilateral meetings organized by the U.S. State Department, the Commission on Sustainable Development, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the World Resources Institute’s GHG Protocol process.• Supervised analysis of projected electricity and natural gas supply and demand and develop scenarios to document benefits resulting from increased investment in energy efficiency and clean energy. • Led national effort with utilities and state utility regulators designed to document and develop business cases for policies that catalyze energy efficiency investment as a strategy to lower consumer energy bills, increase grid reliability and reduce environmental impact.• Created the Climate Leaders program, a government-industry partnership to engage major U.S. companies to set aggressive GHG reduction goals and track progress by performing credible GHG inventories.• Created the Green Power Partnership and CHP Partnership, national programs designed to spur increased demand for renewable energy and CHP in the corporate and institutional sectors by providing technical assistance and high-level public recognition to partners.

Created new voluntary program designed to accelerate landfill gas energy recovery in the United States and in developing countries. • Managed over 15 EPA and contractor staff and US$1 million annual budget. Prepared strategic program plans, developed computer-based tracking programs to assess the program’s effectiveness in achieving emissions reductions, and sat on two Technical Evaluation Panels for multimillion-dollar contract procurements.• Identified, designed and implemented landfill gas energy recovery projects in Mexico, Thailand, Brazil and China. Worked in cooperation with the World Bank, United Nations Development Program, U.S. Agency for International Development and other international multilateral institutions. Led responsibility for project technical assistance, policy assessment, and funding strategies.• As part of the U.S. Country Studies Program, provided training to developing nations on developing methane emission inventories and mitigation strategies, including landfill gas recovery, coal mine methane recovery, and ruminant livestock efficiency improvement.• Represented the US EPA on Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Committee (IPCC); co-authored IPCC methodology for methane emissions from waste management.
