My thirty year career has spanned across strategic and operational leadership within the portfolios of home care, indigenous services, mental health, housing, homelessness and tenancy support, including domestic squalor and hoarding environments, disability services and carer support services, workforce training and development, membership / customer experience and innovation within a national industry association and aged care reform. Acting Director, Ageing & Community SectorCentacare Brisbane Apr 2011 - Jul 2012As part of the Senior Leadership Team within Centacare Brisbane, this position had Strategic and operational responsibility for service delivery and community development across a range of arenas including services to Older People, Carers, Indigenous Australians; people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness and people living within domestic squalor and hoarding environments throughout the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane. This role provided leadership and direction for such services to ensure that their operational objectives, accreditation and legislative requirements as well as the service user’s needs are meet in accordance with the organisation’s mission and values. My portfolio contained 14 Services geographically located from Beaudesert, Ipswich, Kingaroy and Cherbourg, Brisbane Metropolitan, Sunshine Coast and Sunshine hinterland. Each Service has multiple funded programs supporting a range of target groups. In 2011, a total of 19,100 community members received support through our 395 FTE staff. This sector within Centacare had a budget of approximately $29million. -
