About Kerri Klein

I believe that the sustainability challenges we face today require strategies that intentionally engage with the human dimensions, not only the technical aspects, of complex issues such as climate change, chronic disease, and inequality. I specialize in utilizing approaches that work with and integrate the psychological and social aspects of change-making, including a focus on capacity building, leadership development, social mobilization, and behavior change. I particularly enjoy creating spaces for diverse sectors—local government, provincial government, public sector, and civil society organizations—to learn, collaborate and co-create fresh solutions. I have 15 years of experience in sustainable community development, program development/management and designing/facilitating group learning and engagement processes. I have developed, managed and facilitated a variety of social change projects, both as an independent consultant and as a program manager with BC Healthy Communities. I also have a knack for working with teams to bring pioneering ideas to fruition through the development and launch of new programs and projects. Indeed, I believe that fresh collaborative thinking and social innovations have an important role to play in creating the kind of systemic change required to address today’s sustainability challenges.I am an experienced educator and facilitator and a passionate learner. I have delivered over 150 workshops and spoken at a number of national and provincial conferences.
