PastorMcfarland United Church Of Christ Nov 2010 - Oct 2017Worked with staff and volunteer teams to develop vital worship & faith development resources, offer pastoral care, and engage our neighbors. The focus of my ministry with the congregation was church renewal and vitality. We made it a priority to engage people in ministry that impacts the community rather than internal church management. Through that work, in a 4 year period we experienced a 60% increase in worship attendance and annual giving. Overall participation increased beyond worship as well, with 10 times as many people participating in activities designed to grow and deepen faith. I helped congregational leaders organize and run a successful $260,000 capital campaign for building renovations, including raising $75,000 in a 3 month period to receive a $100,000 challenge gift.
