About Kerrin Massarueh

For the past decade, I’ve been on a mission to rebuild food systems and reimagine what’s possible for historically underserved communities. Whether it’s empowering youth to lead, building regenerative food systems, or driving agricultural innovation, my work is rooted in one truth: we can create a world where everyone thrives (holistically). From my home in Dominica to the farms of Liberia and Uganda, and the communities of Baltimore, my purpose is to amplify the voices of young changemakers. Through my vision at BMoreAg Foundation, and collaborative Initiatives with Innovative My World and Roots Africa, I've worked alongside youth, farmers, public-private sector, grassroots community and entrepreneurs to tackle food insecurity, dismantle systemic barriers, and build regenerative economies rooted in equity and resiliency. At the heart of my work is community solution ownership—bringing together bold ideas, brilliant minds, and shared purpose to create real impact. I believe in the power of strategic partnership and refining not creating a new wheel. I’m here to uplift, inspire, and transform. If you’re ready to collaborate on driving youth engagement, fostering innovation, and building food systems that nourish communities and empower generations, let’s connect. Collectively, I know we can build something extraordinary.

This position allowed me to work alongside Dominican farmers on the North/Northeastern part of the island, in an effort to facilitate farm land rehabilitation through, reforestation projects, plant propagation, among others.Through this opportunity, I met and discussed with farmers from different facets of agriculture represented on the island, from horticulture to poultry farming. This experience confirmed my passion for working with farmers of developing countries as I learned so much more outside of the classroom, while at the same time incorporating my skills and knowledge learned from the classroom to the field.
