I co-run a theatre group and activity group for adults and young people with learning difficulties and/or physical different abilities. Suzie and I have created a safe and thriving place for adults and young adults with additional needs to come and express themselves and develop social skills, confidence, theatre performance, craft/scenery/costume making and then deliver performances on well known stages. We started very small, are non-profit but have grown four-fold in the last two years. Our social Friday Night Club puts on activities for all to enjoy and be involved in; including samba drums, discos, magic, jazz, karaoke, cooking, craft, quizzes. It allows these deserving, amazing young people to have a safe environment to make friends and develop confidence and social skills.Our theatre group provides a platform for these talented young individuals to shine and show what they can do with a little help and a lot of love. We have seen cast members grow from being very anxious to playing the lead role, to only wanting to work behind the scenes yet progressing to be the villain in our next show.From beginning our shows in school grounds and local venues, we have secured a partnership with The Junction Cambridge and another London based academy, so our stars have a full stage to perform. We collaborate with local dance groups, choirs, bands, professional actors to ensure we are a fully collaborative and inclusive group.Our moto says it all: Imagine. Inspire. Began with CMR as a Quality Inspector in June 2019, was quickly promoted to Quality Co-ordinator in Jan 2020 and then to Quality Team Leader in July 2020.My initial Team Lead position saw me within the Operations Quality team working closely with Production and Engineering to ensure the delivery of quality parts to the line. I managed a team of inspectors who work within our Metrology lab to inspect/audit and investigate incoming parts/assemblies and support investigations coming from the line.In August 2021 my passion and determination for improvement projects saw me moved into a Team Lead Role for Development in Operations. This allowed me to focus on continuous improvement projects across Operations Quality. My small team have been involved in MES configuration, automation of metrics through PowerBI, logistics of factory moves, Major/Minor NCR management, MRB improvements and much more.It's a dynamic and challenging environment but worth all the hard graft to ensure we are Transforming Surgery.
