I always knew I was a ‘peopley’ kind of person. I like to talk, share and listen. I thrive in communities where we rally around common goals and feel passionate about achieving them together. I’m a lover of puzzles and complex problems. Those wooden cube puzzles and metal brain teasers, I have them all. I’m the person who listens and offers solutions, partnering through challenging obstacles. I guess that’s why I ended up working in HR - people and puzzles. What’s not to like?!After 15+ years in the HR space I've worked in just about every function (Recruiting, Employee Relations, Learning and Development, Payroll and Benefits). I've made a few mistakes and have had many successes - learning a lot about what it means to be a successful HR professional along the way.These days I’m an Insomniac. No, I’m not talking about all the nights my toddler and my kindergartener are keeping me up! I’m lucky enough to spend my time working at Insomniac Games – where I wear many hats as their HR People Partner and it’s pretty awesome. I’m currently serving as the leader of the People Operations team where I’m focused on mentoring and coaching; partnering as an advisor to our Department Heads on processes and policies; and contributing as an active member of our HR leadership team, helping to drive projects to completion. I believe in giving back and helping where I'm needed. Volunteering with the Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 7383 (www.caryvfw.org). Some of the biggest sources of joy in my world are my family (husband and 2 kiddos), friends, and fur babies. When I’m not momming, working, or volunteering you can catch me doing some of my favorite things - camping, reading, watching movies, and hiking.I’m always excited to meet new people (there’s that ‘peopley’ thing again) and spend time chatting about HR, the latest parenting hack or solving that pesky brain teaser!Pleased to Meet You,~Kerri
