Providing assurance to key stakeholders, senior management and the executive that we are compliant with the rules and regulations set out by the FCA, PRA, ESMA and other applicable regulators. Responsibilities to help achieve this aim include:• Reporting regulatory and conduct findings/observations from thematic reviews/Ongoing Assurance tests to Senior Management, the Executive and the FCA on an ad hoc, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.• Involved with ongoing assurance testing of specific FCA/PRA regulation (CASS, COBS, INSPRU). This includes mapping, scoping, fieldwork and reporting stages. Determine sampling and understand what specifically the rules are looking for to demonstrate compliance.• Involvement in Thematic Reviews as part of a review team. Involvement within the scoping, fieldwork and reporting stages of the review. Review work also covers communication of findings/results to senior management and the Executive, which includes the CRO.• Extracting and reconciling initial data to display trends or issues. (i.e. Graphs, Tables , Pivots)• Root Cause Analysis, Identifying the root cause of the problem and providing recommendations for improvement. This includes reviewal of specific data.• Awareness of key regulatory changes to FCA, PRA and other regulations affecting our business. Determine changes to review/test approach by considering new changes.• Member of Risk Academy Working Group. Responsibilities include arranging internal sessions and raising importance of career and personal development across the area. Launch of working group included a presentation to the entirety of the risk function.• Involvement with Scheme of Demutualisation Annual Compliance exercise. This involved assessing the provisions, allocating owners across the business to provisions and performing sample evidence checks to confirm compliance. Presentation of Scheme Compliance Paper to CROs and their direct reports.• Due Diligence reviews of outsourcers.
