For more than 20 years, Kerry has been meeting complex executive and management challenges, developing and executing on comprehensive strategies that have consistently contributed to the success of international and U.S. corporate, government, academic and nonprofit organizations. She has extensive leadership, public speaking and media experience.Kerry currently is on the Executive Cabinet at the Seattle Housing Authority, a public corporation providing affordable housing to approximately 30,000 people. Prior to SHA, Kerry was a global director with an international organization operating a cross-sector program to increase the sustainability, economic development and food security of the $150 billion global seafood industry. Kerry assisted a major university with strategic planning, civic and global engagement and lecturing; served as Communications Director for Washington State; has led corporate affairs for a multi-state print and online media company with eight newspapers, four Web sites, and five subsidiary companies; and served as associate director of a major nonprofit social service organization.Kerry has lived and worked internationally. Prior to her career in executive leadership, strategic communications and public affairs, Kerry was a journalist with a variety of media. She has served on numerous nonprofit boardsKerry holds a Bachelor’s in political science and history, and has done graduate work in law, journalism, ocean resource management and economics. She has been featured in major media such as Bloomberg News, The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, New York Times, National Public Radio, International Herald Tribune and many others. She has been a speaker at symposiums at the Smithsonian Institution, National Press Club, Cornell University, Sustainable Brands, Global 500 Corporate Eco Forum, Walmart Sustainability Summit and other international fora. She has served as a representative on committees at the World Bank and United Nations.
