This includes full cycle recruitment, training and development, performance management, employee-employer relations, health and safety, and a variety of human resources based projects.Strategic projects include designing and implementing training programs, performance management and appraisal systems, policies and procedures, and our health and safety program.The health and safety aspect of my role allows me the opportunity develop and implement health and safety programs and continuous development and improvement of current systems through COR.

Supportive Living falls under the Continuing Care umbrella of Alberta Health Service. The Team Support Coordinator was a new role to this department and of that an integral one.Wearing many hats (as any role in HR typically does) there was always variety and excitement to the day. My responsibilities in his position included full cycle recruitment, performance management, training and development, orientation, working in partnership with four unions, scheduling, statistics and reporting, WHS, employee relations, and managing direct reports. During my time at Supportive Living I had the opportunity to work on projects including a new system implementation (E-People), large scale recruitment project, and overhaul of all recruitment strategies for the department.

The census provides a picture of the country and its people. It helps the Canadian government (among others) when planning transportation, infrastructure, and many integral services such as police, fire and education. This project was a monumental task, requiring a large labour force to complete. My territory required 1104 workers to be hired within a five month span. As the AMR I played an integral role in the business plan development, implementation, and management.My territory spanned outside the northern boarder of Edmonton to the boarder of Alberta/ NWT and spanned the eastern and western boarders of Alberta. With such a large and diverse territory, this project was always exciting and ever-changing. Managing the full cycle recruitment, performing training sessions, reporting, and business/ recruitment planning and implementation were some of the regular duties for this position.In addition I liaised with the Federal Government and candidates regarding Criminal Record Checks, manage public complaints, and implemented various marketing avenues.

As a Case Manager I had the opportunity to help clients who are on PDD, Self Managed Care, or involved in private hire agreements find the care they needed. This included full cycle recruitment (including the international foreign worker program), in home assessments, and employee-employer relations. In addition I coordinated and hosted information sessions both on educational topics for our registered aides and sessions to reach out to the community to learn about the organization.
