As a HOPE (Human Trafficking Outreach, Prevention and Education) Intern I reach out to all the law enforcement and low-income housing agencies in the 30 northernmost counties of California, and invite them to participate in anti-human trafficking trainings. I also create educational, anti-human trafficking animations for the International Rescue Committee to use in the future trainings and outreach.

During my time with Instituto Municipal de la Mujer, I worked alongside leadership members to help bring awareness to, and advocate against, the violence against women in Oaxaca, Mexico. I helped plan community-based advocacy events and engaged in dialogue surrounding femicide and machismo.
