Passionate about developing positive change in children’s mental health, learning, and well-being, I have over 18 years of experience working with children aged 0-11 years across various educational settings. Currently, I work in the foundation stage, collaborating closely with a class teacher to support and nurture young learners in their crucial early development stages.For the past 7 years, I have contributed to a large mainstream primary school, where I supported children with special educational needs (SEN) and my current role is a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). My role involves teaching in foundation stage ensuring a seamless learning experience and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment. I’m passionate about each child’s learning journey, advocating for an approach that celebrates individual needs and promotes well-being.Always eager to learn and grow, I am now actively involved in implementing Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) within the school as part of the play team, encouraging a more dynamic play-based learning environment. I recently completed my foundation degree in Early Years and Education with Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, and am now pursuing a BA (HONS) in Early Childhood Studies at Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford.Outside of work, I am a mother of two and stepmother of three.
