As a recent graduate of BC's MSW program, I reflect on my enriching clinical social work internships; I am excited to embark on a new chapter in my career. With a wealth of experience, a profound commitment to helping individuals realize their full potential, and a passion for nurturing growth and resilience in the face of adversity, I am eager to commence my next chapter as an LCSW (licensure pending). I bring an innate ability to forge meaningful connections, a targeted approach to fostering personal development, and an unwavering dedication to advocacy, support, and therapy. While participating in two clinical internships at JF&CS, I honed my skills in managing complex cases and providing emotional support, especially in services for older adults and early relationship support. This position allowed me to excel in program outreach, deliver in-home therapeutic support, lead support groups, manage ongoing cases, and educate communities about dementia-related conditions.My MSW program at Boston College, which included Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Trauma Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), has equipped me to effectively address women, children, and families' unique needs, particularly during pivotal life moments.Before my academic pursuits, my professional path began in consulting at Bain and Company and IBM, eventually leading me to establish Fetching, a personal styling business to support women in transition. This venture leveraged my consulting expertise to meet client needs efficiently and underscored the therapeutic potential of personal styling. Working closely with clients to overcome self-esteem and body image issues, I developed a structured approach to client engagement that fostered strong, lasting relationships and repeated business. My success in this field inspired my transition into social work, reinforcing my belief in the transformative power of individual support.My commitment to community service is a source of immense pride. My extensive volunteer work, accumulating hundreds of hours, highlights my advocacy dedication and desire to make a real difference. These experiences have not only enriched my professional journey but also deepened my understanding of diverse communities, bolstering my strategic thinking, project management, and interpersonal skills.
