My responsibilities included the following:• Supplying M&S with Bras for their T33 Department. • Core products including, DD+, minimisers, maternity and nursing, total support, wired and non-wired every day, angel teen bras, multiway and sports.• Blue Sky innovation development. • Attending design meetings and fit sessions with M&S.• Sourcing new fabrics and trims through attending trade shows and liaising with suppliers/agents here in the UK and overseas.• Creating and altering patterns for new concepts through Gerber and by hand.• Setting up and managing costing up to and including sign off. • Negotiating prices, MOQ etc with suppliers.• Working closely with the fabric technicians, pattern technicians, costing team and merchandisers.• Managing the commercial aspect of the design/manufacturing process from driving critical paths to quoting prices.

• Team member and sole designer brought in to re launch the lingerie division.• Personal accounts included, Ann Summers, Size Up, Sainsbury’s and Target.• Creation of concept ranges for new customer sales pitches.• Researching and forecasting trends through international travel and trade shows.• Co-ordination with the technical department in the development of new blocks to be used for future designs.• Daily use of design software including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Designed Lingerie, Swimwear and Nightwear for many high street stores including, Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Republic, Primark and far east Lingerie store, Easyshop.• Co ordinated product design from winning new business instructions to verifying product standard. • Sourced fabrics and trims from European and Chinese suppliers.• Researched and presented current trends to clients.• Designed commercial products from a client brief as well as designing prints.• Represented company input at client fit sessions and relayed these changes to the factory through design/fit packs.• Managed the design process from initial concept through to production samples.• Attended trade shows in UK and Europe and travelled to China to visit sister factory.
