My knowledge and oversight includes:- Due diligence searches, worldwide chain of title research, lien recordation (against IP in a corporate transaction), patent expiration and annuity payment status, and review of executed assignment documents for worldwide enforcement; and- IP investigations related to assignment, litigation, worldwide trademark searches; patent citation maps; worldwide patent families and mapping of families, corporate entity and subsidiary searches for corporate transactions, specific searches (such as keywords, assignee searches, inventor searches, class searches, investigations on inventors) and companies and ownership (including corporate tree investigations).• Recruit, evaluate performance, recommend merit raises, discipline and terminate employees.• Manage firm’s centralized Information Disclosure Statement (IDS) Filing Department, including:o recording of prior art cited in foreign actions; o IDS statements, processing and reports to properly manage/eliminate uncited art;o correcting examiner rejections on previously cited references; o ensuring proper links of families for related art and priorities; ando managing vast non-patent literature (NPL) portfolios. • Review complex priority statements and draft petitions to correct priorities.• Mine data through emerging technologies, electronic databases (such as USPTO, Thomson Innovation, INPADOC and DERWENT) and international patent offices for IP acquisition/integration.• Manage US and International Trademark Department including Madrid Protocol international trademark applications. • Manage Hague International design patent applications. • Monitor firm-wide competitor applications, publications, PTAB patents, docketing, articles and files.
