- Assisted the President and CEO in daily operations of the association, including managing staff, partner and board relations, fundraising, event planning, managing budget, etc.- Managed the Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations for the organization, including the organization’s website development and social media.- Developed graphic design and crafted style guides for the organization, including logos, presentations, infographics, reports, and other promotional material.- Worked closely with staff on membership, partner and program development, relations and communications- Developed fundraising initiatives, including annual donor appeals and event sponsorship packages.- Managed event planning efforts - including an annual in-person symposium with 400+ attendees, as well as virtual and hybrid conferences.

Represented the equine industry when working with federal agencies and Congress on equine issues, and communicated with the industry on these issues.Worked closely with the equine industry, various equine and national animal health organizations, livestock coalitions and federal regulatory agencies on a variety of issues including health, diseases, import/export regulations, identification and welfare. Assisted staff on a variety of issues, general office administration and planning for meetings and the annual AHC conference. Provided general assistance to the Equine Species Working Group and to the AHC Director of Health and Regulatory Affairs.

Worked full time on a thoroughbred racehorse breeding farm and attended weekly internship lectures. Responsibilities included general farm maintenance, horse handling and care, assisting breeding and foaling, and assisting veterinarians.
