I strive to achieve both, personal and business objectives which has enabled me to develop strong communication skills in Supply Chain management.The main purpose of this role is to ensure a smooth supply to production/operations. I negotiate and renew contracts with core suppliers, enter purchase orders from various computer generated reports and ensuring on time delivery. I have responsibility of annual vendor assessments and ensure the necessary certification is collected. I promote and maintain good vendor relationships with new and existing suppliers and communicate any rejected or non conformance parts that need to go back to the supplier for investigation.specific duties include;Highlight and problem solve any situation which may adversely affect supply lines, working under tight deadlines.Running and understanding many levels of reports and issuing forecast information to suppliers.Strong cost management agreeing open book with suppliers & subcontractors.Working closely with all departments for up to date information on all enquiries and orders to ensure we deliver to our customers in good time. Oversee the electronics side of the purchasing dept including supervision and training of all the purchasing staff.Implement improvements that enable the purchasing dept to run more efficiently, e.g. adjusting stock levels to compensate for peaks in demand.Visit suppliers, including offshore manufacturers to ensure quality and ethical standards are met.
