I have just graduated with a BA Sociology with International Experience degree at the University of Sheffield. Sociology has taught me a myriad of contemporary issues in society and opened my eyes to the inequalities faced in everyday life.Last year I studied at City University of Hong Kong as a sandwich year. This enhanced my independence and confidence to move to a new country and study within a different culture.During my second year of study I was involved in a student-led volunteering scheme called The Children’s Project. Working alongside other volunteers, we spent our weekends with children from disadvantaged backgrounds and planned activities for them to enjoy.
