The vaping industry is never something I have worked in before and it has been an exciting and deeply knowledgeable industry to work in. My responsibilities are to advise customers and answer any questions they have. I undertake Stock control and stock takes. I run marketing campaigns and designed posters which the company still use to this day. I helped organise new store openings and with store closures. I am part of training team where we use an acronym called GAMES which gives staff an easy way to sell the products to customers. I also coach and train staff members as a new starter or for progression

Responsibilities were to achieve shop budgets and targets (KPI’S) and fair distribution of tasks, as well as ensuring effective communication amongst all staff members. I Coached a team of 5 people who required ongoing training and development. An important part of the job was player protection which is being aware of vulnerable people who may show trigger signs of problem gambling. It also entailed keeping underage gambling, drugs, and alcohol out of the shop, making sure we deal with these situations in a professional and compassionate manner. On a day to day basis my role was to interact with customers giving them the best betting experience they will ever have. Helping them with problems or questions they may have, settling bets which requires good numeracy skills. Answering any emails, filling in rotas, and timesheets. I organised my time so that my customers did not get neglected and felt that they were number one.

I had various roles within this job which were, Barmaid, Party Bingo, Bingo Caller, Booksale’s and Front of house. The main part of this job was interacting with customers. Talking through how they play bingo and supporting them throughout their visit. Ultimately giving them the best bingo experience. Numeracy skills was essential. Flexible working hours.

Involved working in team and providing a quality service to customers. You had to be flexible with hours and days worked. Rota management, Deep clean of store each night.
