As part of this I actively encourage continuous improvement within the Commercial team through the review and improvement of associated processes and procedures. Additionally, I have the role of Security Document Controller within the Ferranti Technologies Security Committee. My knowledge of R&T contracting has enabled me to expand this role to take on commercial responsibility for complex engineering research and technology projects, particularly in relation to unmanned air systems. I am also responsible for the bidding and contracting of numerous research and technology projects with the MoD and providing company representation at industry commercial working groups.

In this role I was heavily involved in complex manufacturing research and technology contracting with both central and regional government bodies, industry partners and academia. This included working closely with the Legal Department and Intellectual Property Department, negotiating terms and conditions with industry and university partners, as well as providing support to internal functions.

In this role I was responsible for the contract management and controlled exit of two high value assembly and machining contracts. Following this I was involved in third party bidding and contracting for the Engineering team. This involved bidding in a high volume, quick turnaround environment.

Within Military Air & Information (formerly Air Systems) I undertook a two year Commercial Graduate Development programme. During which I had placements within Central Commercial, in a governance capacity, Integrated Services & Operations Commercial, in a contracts role, and Project Management, within a production environment.

I worked at Michelin Tyre as an Advanced Modern Apprentice, doing a Modern Apprenticeship in Administration. For the first 18 months I worked in Legal, this involved assisting the three solicitors working with the Legal Secretary. The final 6 months were spent in the Car Marketing, organising and carrying out a series of different projects. I also attaining a HNC in Business, Key Skills and NVQ Level 3 in Administration
