Vehicle Structures Lead Engineer

July 2020 - Present:• Sole Body Structures Lead Engineer working on the new 2021 Jaguar E-Pace. Responsible for full structure including sealing.• Brought onto the programme during the pre-production build and navigated numerous engineering issues in the months leading up to and through a successful launch.• Completing releases of engineering changes and updating the BOM to ensure a smooth transition into mass production.March 2019 - May 2020:• Working on a multi-material premium electric vehicle for a UK based OEM. Responsible for delivery of all unique underbody content including Rear Floor, Bumper Armatures and Front End Carrier.• Responsible for pressed, forged, extruded and cast components.• Experience of various joining technologies including SPRs, spot welds, FDS', break-stem fasteners, bolted joints and adhesives.• Running weekly meetings with numerous suppliers and AME.

August 2018 - March 2019: Body Structures Test and Development Engineer• Responsible for organising and completing virtual and physical testing of vehicles for a UK Automotive OEM.• Outlining DV and PV test rig requirements for vehicle programs, liaising with test houses to ensure tests were completed on time and completing virtual validation to ensure vehicles were meeting internal design standards. September 2017 - August 2018: Body Structures Launch Engineer• Responsible for promptly resolving Body Structures issues arising during prototype builds for a UK Automotive OEM.• Working directly with other engineering functions to effectively agree solutions to cross-functional issues.• Direct experience with the 2019 Range Rover Evoque, 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport and 2021 Jaguar I-Pace.
