    My last role in BT was the delivery of a proposition that I pitched at a BT Dragons Den (based onthe BBC series) and won the funding and headcount to deliver a new sales enablement platformbased on Microsoft's OCS platform.The proposition was designed to deliver a reduction in internal costs on our mobile and travelspend, and perhaps more importantly drive customer intimacy with a new federation platform thatwould demonstrate BT's leadership in Unified Communications. The project has been a realsuccess with 40 customers federated and 20 of our partners. We also have 1000 people runningon the new platform as we speak with expansion to 3000 before Christmas 2008I have also used the platform to introduce presence technology to enable business processeswith some of our biggest suppliers, for example, Accenture and our travel managementorganisation. This is expected to deliver real savings based on the reduction in travelling times,and in the case of our HR contract, massively improve the efficiencies of our processes withAccenture.I was also involved for a year in M & A activities where I lead the sales / commercial discussionsaround two potential acquisitions for Global Services. I was responsible for the relationship andthe potential market size of such acquisitions working with a small team of finance and legalpeople. One acquisition was valued at circa £30m and the other £5m.

This was the first of its kind in BT, and in the UK as Irecall at the time. Eventual contract value to BT was circa £600kI was the first person to supply ATM network services to the likes of House of Fraser,
