🌟 I’ve extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, working within the employability sector. I’m an experienced coach and mentor, supporting unemployed people with disabilities into paid employment, and training and up-skilling colleagues through one-to-one and group sessions. I’ve delivered workshops on resilience; professional boundaries, safeguarding, understanding various health conditions and disabilities, and workplace adjustments.Working with Trade Union Representatives, I’ve supported colleagues to navigate HR guidance, including grievance processes, and facilitating reasonable accommodations. I’ve also been a minute taker in Attendance Management meetings, supporting Leaders and gaining valuable insight into the process involved.As a certified mental health first aider (MHFA), I’m a bridge between colleagues and essential support programs, including Employee Assistance Programmes. I recently became an RNIB Homeworking Champion for colleagues based at home in the Southwest Region, helping them to connect with their peers and interact socially where possible, as part of RNIB’s commitment to preventing isolation and loneliness amongst its staff. I have completed ACAS courses on Bullying and Harassment, and Disability Discrimination in the Workplace, and am currently studying a Human Resources Management Diploma.I have experience in recruitment practices, supporting people in creating their CVs, completing application forms, honing their interview techniques, understanding the Equality Act 2010, and applying for Access to Work funding when required. I am knowledgeable about the Government’s Disability Confident Scheme, and am intimately familiar with the three tiers employers can attain, illustrating my dedication to fostering an inclusive work environment. Moreover, I’m currently championing RNIB’s Visibly Better Employer Quality Standard, a dynamic initiative aimed at enhancing employment inclusivity for individuals with sight loss.I love helping others and am passionate about improving wellbeing initiatives. Outside of the workplace I enjoy walking my dog, following Major League Baseball and continuing my professional development with courses!Digital skills: proficient in Microsoft programs, utilising Word for writing CVs and Cover Letters, Excel to capture progress of customers’ journey to work, Outlook for email and Calendar functions, and Teams for video calls and hosting workshops.
