I have over 30 years’ experience working in IT in the City. Most recently I’ve been working as a Programme Manager implementing the wave of financial regulations including (but not limited to) MIFID II, EMIR, DFA, SFTR, Volcker, PRIIPS. As such I’ve overseen successful changes to Front, Middle and Back Office systems, introduced new business processes and technologies, built systems from scratch, implemented vendor systems and adapted existing systems to address new and previously unforeseen business requirements. I have sat on numerous Project and Programme Boards, worked as part of Departmental Management teams and personally managed international teams from 2 to 200. I’ve worked in agile and waterfall frameworks, initiated new projects and taken over running projects and led both to success. I value the human side of our business and have spent considerable time over the years mentoring individuals and managing stakeholder relationships at all levels. I have demonstrated the ability to improve performance of failing teams and systems and dealt with emergencies from power failures to financial crashes.
