Currently leading the Analysis & Review team on Responsible Innovation (T&S) at Google. As the primary AI Governance team, we are responsible for operationalizing Google’s AI Principles, ensuring that Google’s products have fair and ethical outcomes on individual users and the world. We independently and objectively assess product launches against each of the AI Principles to ensure a net positive end impact on users and society. The team also provides socio-technical advice and conducts fairness and safety testing (red teaming) to ensure Google’s technologies are not reflecting or perpetuating sociological or socioeconomic inequalities, in support of Google’s AI Principles (https://ai.google/responsibility/principles/). Cross-functional policy, governance and compliance expert with >15 years experience developing and leading global policies, AI governance bodies, enforcement practices and processes, trust and safety initiatives (user safety, child safety, fraud, risk and abuse prevention, detection and enforcement), and legal sensitive issues. Extensive experience building and managing operational, support and investigations teams, internal tools and global enforcement programs.
