I've been a media consultant for more than 25 years, working as a communications consultant, content producer, social media coordinator, editor, writer, proofreader and videographer for government and commercial organisations. As a freelancer, I'm a regular writer for B2B magazines, compiling articles for Engage Media's dental, veterinary, medical and restaurant publications.I recently completed a 7-month contract with Ku-ring-gai Council, helping to rebuild its external website and editing the entire content base. I also coordinate eDMs for various council services ranging from library events to sustainability.Back in 2019, I entered the then booming industry of travel. I was Communications Coordinator for QBT (Qantas Business Travel) for nearly a year but was retrenched due to the COVID-19 pandemic.At QBT, I produced communications to clients, suppliers, travellers, media, stakeholders and staff by producing eDMs, its website, social channels and press releases. I launched its first online newsletter as well as writing blogs, press releases and implementations. I managed the content workflow for social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) and coordinated various events.In 2018, I took on a 12-month contract as the editor for Engage Media, managing three monthly B2B magazines and websites – Vet Practice, Restaurant & Catering Magazine and Bite (for dentists). I created quality content across various platforms, built awareness and brand affinity, commissioned features, coordinated closely with various stakeholders, and made sure all deadlines were met.
