MicrOmics Technologies is a new venture founded by Dr. Ryan Kelly (Professor at Brigham Young University) to develop tools for single cell proteomics (SCP). Although the initial focus will be on providing packed tip columns (25-75u ID) and ESI emitters for SCP and other low input proteomics samples, MicrOmics plans to develop a broad product line to help proteomics researchers handle low input samples including sample preparation and introduction to mass spectrometers.

In addition to my role as a Senior Consultant to NanoLCMS, I have spent the past year setting up a new company (WarpLCMS LLC) to develop, produce and market a novel Tapered Bore UHPLC column line for high throughput LCMS applications. With a 2.0mm ID at the inlet for high loading capacity and robustness, and a 0.5mm ID at the outlet to minimize band dispersion, the WarpLCMS column provides a 16x increase in linear velocity over its 25mm length, resulting in UHPLC performance at conventional LCMS flows. When packed with a variety of 1-3 micron totally porous or fused core particles, these columns are ideally suited for a wide range of high throughput LCMS applications including Drug Discovery and Development, ADMET and DMPK Analyses, Pharmaceutical Quality Control, Quantitative Proteomics, High Throughput Clinical Assays, Pain Management, Personal Care Products in Drinking Water, Food Safety Analyses and Pesticide Screening.

As my Technology Manager at Michrom, Lori Ann was responsible for insuring product quality and customer satisfaction and she plans to bring these skills to her new venture. I will be helping Lori Ann setup the administrative, operational and marketing facets of the business.
