Casual Clicks began as a hobby in photography, shameless manipulation of those images and digital photo restoration. It is now a small home business in digital image manipulation, artistic simulations of photographic images and whatever else creative happens to be catching my attention at the time. My focus at this time in my life is staying home with my children and Casual Clicks allows me an outlet for the various creative endeavors that pique my interest. I am not actively pursuing work at this time but when projects present themselves, I enjoy applying whatever skills that I have developed towards those projects.

I created the layout and design of the recent publication:Connecticut Construction GuidelinesThe Manual for Successful Building Projects, 2nd edition"The 2nd Edition of this ground-breaking publication was written by the Connecticut Construction Guidelines Coalition made up of 24 construction industry experts representing the major design and construction industry associations. The publication was written for municipal building committee members, public works officials, facilities managers, project managers, and everyone in the construction industry who wants to know more about the process of constructing a building in Connecticut." quoted from the CBC web site. My largest contribution with this non-profit organization was in creating the template artwork for both sides of the 10’ tall granite centerpiece of a monument, which now represents Connecticut at the Vicksburg National Military Park. This artwork was subsequently traced and hand etched by a professional etching artist. I am honored to be named in the official records as one of the Vicksburg Monument Artists. I also designed: --the commemorative exhibition booklets, distributed at the Connecticut State Exhibition ceremony in Hartford, Connecticut--the commemorative dedication booklets, distributed at the official dedication ceremony of our beautiful monument at the Vicksburg National Military Park--an educational poster about the Ninth Regiment Connecticut Volunteers and her monuments, now on permanent exhibition at the Hartford State Armory in Hartford, Connecticut--various activities (involving the use of graphics) to assist in promoting awareness of Connecticut's Ninth Regiment, as the need arises.

My entire nursing career was working as a staff nurse at a Yale New Haven Hospital: 10 years in acute care pediatrics and 9 years in inpatient child psychiatry. After much deliberation, I chose to leave the hospital to stay home full-time with my children. Though my interests are currently leading me down paths unrelated to health care, I intend to maintain a current nursing license and I watch, with great interest, the trends and opportunities that continue to be present for nurses in today's volatile economic environment.
