I also work very closely with each of my clients, from initial briefing meetings to concept presentations and general day to day communications. Over the past few years, I have developed very strong relationships with my clients and suppliers, which has lead to regular new projects and great feedback.As a Senior Designer I am able to design, develop and deliver effective design solutions against client briefs, balancing innovative creative solutions with clients business needs and time/budget restraints. As a team of about 20, I had lots of experienced designers to learn from and work with across many projects. It was at 300million that I learnt and developed my skills from a Junior Designer into a confident Senior Designer. As a team of about 20, I had lots of experienced designers to learn from and work with across many projects. Which allowed me to understand how to take a creative brief and develop it through to the final delivery. We had regular creative sessions together, where I would always be willing to contribute and be involved.One of my favourite projects at 300million, which I lead, was for Mike Reed (copywriter), developing a promotional piece for him to send out to clients. This became the ‘And’ book, which explained the correct use of the word ‘And’ to begin a sentence. For the mailer I designed a nifty mechanism that magically opened and opened and opened. And opened! The booklet features in the 2009 D&AD Annual, with an Inbook award and also won a Premier ISTD Typographic Award.At 300million I also took on the role to search, interview and select our monthly placements. It was very satisfying to see them develop and flourish whilst they were with us. I had the responsibility to plan their weeks and ensure they had projects to work on, overseeing their progress and educating them about design and the way we work. As this developed over the years, I used these skills and knowledge to create a presentation which was taken to universities to inspire and inform students.
