Apace was a software consultancy specialising in delivering .NET and Sitecore solutions to customers such as Microsoft MSN, LendLease, Australia Unity, Waterfield and the Australian Goverment.Worked with Waterfield to launch and digitise their business of helping their clients in developing business strategies through a global SaaS platform.For MSN we developed a solution for a problem that occured due to the sheer number of news articles on the site that the code for our solution eventually making it into Sitecore itself.For leandlease to allow fast turn around of websites covering the lifecyle of property we built multi-tennant instance with reusable components with wireframes that allowed local agencies to bespoke design allowing websites to be delivered in days through composition of the reusable components and injecting the styling.

As Delivery Lead / Solultion Architect I was responsible for delivering 60+ websites on the .NET CMS Sitecore engaging four agencies to do the development.Provided software architectural best practices and infrastructure architecture design for the Sitecore Platform supporting content authoring across multiple regions/multi tennanted solution.Implemented Continuous Integration (provided to Agencies) to reduce time from development to deployment.

Keen to learn some new technologies, I voluntered to join a team that pitched a start-up idea at a Microsoft BizSpark as I loved the idea they put forward, showcasing a working prototype of a mobile app, GoCatch, built over the weekend on Windows Phone and Windows Azure. Our pitch was a success and we won first place, earning support from Microsoft to help realise the idea. Immediatly after I joined GoCatch to bring the app to market and make it available on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 7 platforms.

I lead teams of hybrid onshore and offshore teams delivering CMS based projects for clients like Coca-Cola, Blackmores and Tennis Australia.Established and setup an offshore team (found the offices, hired the first members and delivered the first projects for a team that eventually grew to over 200).

As part of the Infochoice team, I was instrumental in building a highly scalable website with strong SEO capabilities. This resulted in Infochoice becoming one of the top 10 financial product aggregators in Australia in terms of traffic. Additionally, I developed an embeddable component that was hosted on Microsoft MSN, resulting in a significant increase in CPC traffic and generating revenue for the company through deals with financial institutions via CPC and CPA

As Technical Lead at Devotion digital agency, I was responsible for overseeing the delivery of multiple websites using Kentico technology. I lead a hybrid onshore/offshore team to ensure successful and timely completion of projects.

From conception, developed the ‘Moneytech Exchange’ – an online finance system that funds businesses in Australia across various vertical markets including IT and pharmaceutical.During my first two years at Moneytech, I worked as a technical architect building the various ‘Moneytech Exchange’ systems (built in C# and ASP.NET / SQL Server with integration to Microsoft CRM and Great Plains). I was involved in all aspects of the system including the core financial business logic, security, framework and architecture etc.After two years I assumed the role of Development Manager and expanded the team (establishing dedicated support, additional developers and full-time testers), to meet the growing demands of the business.We Integrated Microsoft CRM to allow customer aquisition that automatically genereated embossed smartcards and envelops that would be shipped to customers to allow them to sign transations using a smartcard reader.Additionally implemented another layer of security with SecurID.

Northbrook Technology is Northern Ireland’s leading software house outsourcing to Allstate Insurance of America. Some of my accomplishments included:- Built a Management Expense Tool intranet website and also customized and extended Microsoft Project Central/Server- Received two promotions to Senior Programmer level. Achieved excellent performance appraisals (89% and 84%) based on delivery of work and feedback by the client- Undertook official Microsoft training courses for C#/ASP.NET/XML.NET/COM+ for MCAD certification. Additionally received in-house training and CBT’s for many other languages and technologies- Worked for seven months onsite in Chicago working directly with the client, liaising with Allstate’s in-house Microsoft consultants- First to work with the .NET technology for Northbrook and subsequently created a .NET training course for other teams and created a .NET starter pack to help teams migrate to .NET.
