About Patrick Kerssemakers

Patrick is co-founder and managing partner of Dutch Founders Fund, a leading European early stage VC with focus on Network Effects.As founder and CEO of the Dutch startup fonQ.nl, Patrick and his team won a series of international awards of best national e-commerce store. fonQ.nl is now the biggest online store in homeliving and furniture in The Netherlands. Patrick and its partners sold the company in 2012 to the biggest e-commerce company in The Netherlands, and stayed as CEO. In 2015 fonQ was sold to APAX. In 2017 Patrick left the company after selling it to the current owner.
In 2017 he traveled the world with his family for 8 months. Since 2012 Patrick started investing as an angel investor in several startups (>50), like; Houzz.com, Cloudsuite.com, Starred.com, Shypple.com, Polarsteps.com, Springcast, Semper etc.End of 2018 Patrick, together with Dutch partners: Laurens Groenendijk (Co-founder of: Just-Eat, Miinto, Hiber.Global, Treatwell.com), Hidde Hoogcarspel (founder of: SpaceBuzz), Bas Beerens (founder: WeTransfer.com) and Remco van Zanten (Ex-SVP Booking.com, Zalando, Vinted,).
