I joined my family business, Canterbury Bears, on a full-time basis in the early eighties, after spending many years supporting my parent's business interests in my spare time. I have travelled internationally with Canterbury Bears taking the brand to New York, Tokyo, Sydney and beyond.As Managing Director my involvement is undoubtedly hands-on, a creative role that has become a passion and a vocation. From discussing the designs of Memory Bears with clients, to B2B projects and adding to the current Canterbury Bears range.Our range of handmade bears, from traditional to quirky, are available online and through retailers and we enjoy working with brands both large and small: from Harrods to The Huntsman Savile Row, Firmdale Hotels to The Chocolatier. We have made bears for the British Royal Family and US Presidents and for people who simply want a bear to hug.
