As the Social Media and Content Supervisor, my role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the EB Games and Zing Pop Culture Social Media Team and produce quality content to market the EB Games brand and its products internally and externally. I am also responsible for staff management, as well as driving innovations across these channels. I work closely with the Marketing, Loyalty and Customer Service teams.Day-to-day, my role includes the following:Management• Managing a mix of full-time, casual and/or part-time staff who are responsible forboth social media and content.• Hiring new staff where required then train new staff first-hand, or oversee theirtraining with an experienced team member.• Identifying opportunities to upskill or train staff to benefit their own personaldevelopment and/or the greater team.• Conducting regular performance discussions and an annual performance review.• Rostering appropriate staff for predicted workloads and track payroll against a budget.• Conducting regular training sessions to remind staff of best practices.Social Media• Ensuring my team is scheduling and executing regular alignment with internal promotions and business priorities.• Working with vendor partners to execute product promotions and generate innovativeand engaging content.• Liaising with other internal teams to ensure Social Media is used to drive key businesspriorities.• Staying abreast of industry trends and news. Investigating and implementing new contenttypes, platforms and internal systems and processes, assessing their suitability forour community and marketing needs.• Creating digital content for use internally or via social media channels that is creative,engaging and tailored to its specific audience.• Acting as a brand ambassador for EB Games at internal and external events.• Attending internal or industry events and generate content for our social mediachannels or internal use.
