I am a high performing higher education professional with 8+ years of experience working directly for a higher education institution as well as 5 additional years as a higher education management consultant with Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). My most impactful work of late has been partnering with international governments to review and support the improvement of their international student recruitment efforts, as well as, internationalization of their scientific research to develop partnerships and national level partnerships. I am passionate about supporting the internationalization of education so these projects, as well as others, were I have worked with industry to identify skills needs and workforce plan, have been incredibly rewarding to me. My background is in student recruitment and marketing which was an exceptional place to build a foundation of higher education knowledge, as these are both areas in which a detailed knowledge of the institution and the higher education landscape are required. Moving from this work into consulting was a natural step and a lot of the work I do now builds on this knowledge and involves auditing higher education institutions and advising on how they can improve institutional performance.I am also a very intentional and developmental leader. I have had the pleasure of managing teams for 10+ years now and I can confidently say, building up groups of high-performing staff to grow as professionals and achieve their collaborative goals is the most energizing part of my work.
