An avid reader, this Supervisory Analyst is keenly aware of today's intense regulatory and social media scrutiny. A financially literate Copy Editor, I am trained to get the key message across succinctly and clearly. The aim is to weed out reputational, political and, ultimately, financial risk from research, while maintaining its commerciality. This role necessitates liaising with people across geographies and across corporate ranks. Hence, one needs to be a global team player and have the sensibilities to communicate effectively.There is something new to learn every day, and I have tried to reskill myself to stay relevant. Hence, the Series 4, 7 and 16 Securities licences. The next challenge lasted for three testing years, and culminated in me becoming a Certified FRM in Jan 2019. Everyone has a story to tell and every story — even the technical one — has its own flavour. I humbly try to understand the literature before me so that I can fashion every copy differently. My endeavour is to employ my understanding of risk and compliance issues and deliver a copy that is able to communicate with its target audience.This copy editor often writes copy for himself, penning verse and prose in both English and Marathi, my mother tongue.
