My core duties and responsibilities included, but not limited to:• Day to day operations of the terminal including supply and distribution of petroleum products (JetA-1, MOG, GO and FO), bunker supplies, tanker receipts, QA checks on all products, safety checks on all equipment etc.• Assist in the repair and maintenance of the terminal facilities, perform HSEQ audits and implementing corrective actions, all ensuring compliance to the IOML policies, procedures and maintenance program.• Maintain compliance with ISO standards and WHS legislations.• Assist in the inspection, testing and maintenance of storage tanks and pipeline network. • Cross verification of and coordination for the bulk delivery meters calibration.• Inspection of terminal facilities to ensure optimum efficiency and safety.• Workforce management and organisation, assisting in the implementation of Training Programs.• Lubricants warehouse management, inventory forecasting and indenting as per requirements.• Stock inventory monitoring, supply and distribution of lubricants to various parties.

My core duties and responsibilities included, but not limited to:• Marketing and sales of Masterguard Waterproofing System.• Plan and manage projects and workforce utilisation.• Site engineering and work progress monitoring.• Monitor and manage project costs and resources.• Responsible in the research and development of new products.

My core duties and responsibilities included, but not limited to:• Implementation and monitoring of all Public Health and Safety Installation Works, including hot & cold water installation works, drainage systems, gas installation works, fire fighting systems, pumps and other mechanical equipment etc. • Study contractual documents and applicable standards and project specifications, estimate, prepare and assign resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc required for all related works prior to execution on site.• Review drawings produced by the Design Engineer, submit shop drawings for approval to MEP Engineer and issue construction drawings to workforce for proper and precise execution of all installation works.• Attend site meetings, progress meetings, coordination meetings to provide updates on project progress, maintain necessary coordination with the other discipline engineers for the smooth flow of projects and ensure project is being built properly, on time, according to goals and targets set by the MEP engineer .and as per all applicable health, safety, and environmental standards.• Directly manage, provide engineering and technical support to the workgroup, as well as ensuring the safety of all personnel on site by closely monitoring that all executions works are being done according to all application health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly and all applicable monitoring reports on a regular basis or as required.• Coordination with equipment suppliers, inspection of all incoming material, carrying out pre-commissioning, testing and commissioning of services, all in accordance with contractual agreements.• Provide input for as made drawings and prepare O&M manuals.

During my training period, I was exposed to the following:• Assist Engineers in their day to day activities.• Overview of the Cabin & Avionics systems of the different aircraft in the Air Mauritius fleet under the guidance and support of qualified engineers.• Exposure to the organisational structure and working procedures of the Technical Services Department.• Exposure to the technical documentation and Maintenance Information System. • Compiling history data to investigate the reliability of the navigation lights on the A340 and the A330 fleet.• Understand the purpose and use of a Maintenance Program which is essential for the preventive maintenance as well as regular inspection of the aircraft’s system and structures.

During my training, I had the following exposures:• Planning and allocation of human and capital resources on a daily basis.• Supervision of technical personnel for timely completion of works.• The refrigeration system.• Servicing, repairs and troubleshooting of forklifts and other motor vehicles.• Record keeping and analysis of equipment readings.
