As an IT Project Manager at the University of Toronto Press, I thrive on collaborative efforts across various divisions. My role revolves around efficiently managing a wide range of projects, with a particular emphasis on system implementations and enhancing business processes. I lead concurrent systems-focused projects while actively contributing to strategic planning for upcoming initiatives.

Led and assisted with the coordination of projects and programs within IT along with other administrative duties within the PMO. I maintained and supported project information such as project plans, project status reports, project dashboards, resourcing and capacity planning reports, project logs, meeting minutes and steering committee slide decks for multiple project portfolios.

I provided administrative support to facilitate the effective operation and coordination of various equity and community inclusion related activities. This included education and awareness initiatives, community engagement and collaboration, strategic planning assessments including data entry and analytical reporting; office communications; project and events planning, and other administrative assistance. I have provided programming, services and resources to students, staff, and faculty to create an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful campus community.

In this role I was responsible for conducting an audit of case data collected spanning a two year period on Sexual Violence and Discrimination and Harassment cases. I consolidated and analyzed complaint metrics for cases that were covered by the Ryerson Discrimination and Harassment Prevention Policy (DHP) and Sexual Violence Policy (SVP). I also assisted with analyzing financial information to create key summary reports of budgets allocated to Human Rights Services. I was also responsible for supporting day to day administrative duties and supporting Partnership and Resolution Officers with case management.

I was a key member of Ryerson’s Student Learning Centre’s (SLC) frontline team known as the Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL) Team. The SEAL Team was a dedicated group committed to making the SLC a world-class learning destination. I collaborated with various stakeholders to foster student engagement and pride of place, and ensured the SLC is a physical manifestation of Ryerson spirit. My role being a specialist enhanced the reputation of Ryerson by providing excellent customer service, assisting in the daily operations of the SLC, and leading projects at the SLC.

I was highly focused on sales generation of merchandise/services while demonstrating a high degree of customer awareness and ensured exceptional customer satisfaction. I would interact with 20 to 30 customers a day and maintained a consistent positive attitude which created repeat purchases from customers. In addition, I handled customer complaints effectively by providing appropriate solutions in a timely manner which minimized complaints against the company. I also supported management through creating long term customer relationships with notable buyers by identifying and communicating needs and by providing personalized customer shopping experiences.
