Completed my educational field experience at Gilchrist Elementary School in a first grade classroom. Observed full group instruction lead by the classroom teacher, lead full group instruction in all subject areas but predominantly math and science, worked one on one with students, lead small group instruction during centers, and administered the DIBELS assessment to a few students.

Receptionists demonstrate an investment in the overall service the front desk provides to each resident. The residence hall desks are considered a professional working environment. They are the heart of the building, often the first impression that a resident, family or visitor to the institution may have. The front desk plays an intricate role in the success of every residence hall. The receptionists are in essence the "face" of residence life, managing many day-to-day functions that are crucial to the success of our communities. Receptionists are responsible for all administrative tasks that occur at the front desk.

Was in charge of a group of first grade students each week and planned activities and games for them each day. Started each week with a team building activity to get the students to know one another. Worked alongside a co-counselor to constantly manage and supervise students in the classroom as well as throughout other various aspects of the day.

Completed my educational field experience at Canopy Oaks Elementary School in a fourth grade classroom. Observed full group instruction lead by the classroom teacher, worked with small groups of students, and individually worked with students. Taught full group language arts and social studies lessons.

Completed my educational field experience at Saint John Elementary School in a second grade classroom. Observed full group instruction lead by the classroom teacher, worked with small groups of students, and individually worked with students. Worked one on one with ESOL students in the class to observe their progress throughout the semester.

A Resident Assistant supervises and works with first year college students living in residence halls. Responsible for the creation of bulletin boards, holding two programs per month, and being able to identify campus resources and activities. Trained to be sensitive to the academic, emotional and social challenges facing college students, particularly those involved with the normal adjustments to residence hall living.
