Ketevan (Kate) Chachava is a civic and democracy activist from Georgia. She is the executive director and founder of the Tbilisi-based Center for Development and Democracy (CDD), founder and Chairperson of Sector 3 – Hub for Development and founder and board member of a socially-oriented NGO “YouCreator”. Ketevan is Steering Committee Member of the World Movement for Democracy. Additionally, she is a non-resident Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), affiliated with the Democracy Resilience Program, contributing her expertise to global initiatives promoting democratic governance and civic engagement. Her commitment to fostering democratization and civic activism has positioned her as a driving force in Georgia's civil society landscape.Throughout her nineteen-year career, Ketevan has held pivotal management positions at both local and international NGOs. Notably, she served as the Director of the Information Center on NATO and EU from 2016 to 2017. Her main areas of work have been focused on democratization, election observation, Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration, countering anti-Western disinformation, and propaganda.From 2006 to 2014, Ketevan distinguished herself as an elected member of various committees, working groups, and expert panels at esteemed organizations such as the Council of Europe (CoE), the European Youth Forum (EYF), and the European Students’ Union (ESU). Her dedication to collaborative decision-making and youth empowerment has left an indelible mark on European policy discourse.Ms. Chachava holds a post-graduate diploma in Strategic Communications from King's College London. She is also a John Smith Trust Fellow (UK) and an alumna of the Open World Program and the Future Leaders Exchange Program (US State Department Programs) and European Union Visitors Program (EUVP).Ketevan is the mother of four amazing children.
