Ketul J. Patel has dedicated his career to expanding access to healthcare, specifically for the most vulnerable in communities across the United States. As CEO of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, and President of the Northwest Region of CommonSpirit Health, Ketul is focused on developing solutions to ensure all individuals have equitable access to and receive the highest-quality, safest care while also ensuring a world-class experience. Throughout his career, Ketul has held progressive executive leadership roles throughout the country. He is honored both regionally and nationally for his leadership and contributions to the healthcare industry. Most notably, he is a three-time honoree on Modern Healthcare’s list of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare—featured among the country’s most influential and seasoned industry leaders, in addition to being featured as one of the Top 25 Diversity Leaders. In 2022 he was named Puget Sound Business Journal's Health Care Executive of the Year and in 2019, he was awarded Nonprofit Healthcare Leader of the Year by the University of Washington Tacoma Milgard School of Business.Ketul's leadership and accomplishments have been featured in Modern Healthcare, HealthLeaders Magazine, Becker’s Hospital Review, Seattle Times and Puget Sound Business Journal, among others.Ketul has served on numerous boards throughout his career. He is currently an active board member of the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board, Washington State Hospital Association, Association of Washington Business, Washington Health Alliance, CEOs Against Cancer, the Carol Milgard Breast Center, and Executive Council Co-Chair of Greater Seattle Partners.
