I work as a freelance trainer within the logistics industry, covering Driver CPC, Management (Internal Quality Assurer) of the practical side of the Traffic office apprenticeships training. Driver Training, including shunter & banks-person, fuel efficient & defensive driving courses, Driver Legal Compliance training. I have and continue to, work with some large & not so large, well known Logistics companies throughout the UK on a freelance basis, providing bespoke training support within the individual businesses. Developed a number of Driver CPC training centres within Logistics companies. Developing and maintaining a skilled DCPC delivery team for both LGV and PCV course delivery. Develop and create DCPC courses, both Generic and bespoke, meeting individual customer requirements. Courses are created around a PowerPoint presentation, with open discussion and relevant training films and simulators built into the presentation.I have actively delivered the DCPC courses to drivers from various transport backgrounds, and received very good feedback from the attendees and their employers. I have also designed and delivered bespoke courses, meeting company's individual requirements, including Drivers hours regulations, Digital Tachograph legislation and use. Health & Safety courses including Safe Systems of Work methods and practices. During this time I have also assisted associated companies, in developing and establishing, their own DCPC centres and courses, developing and training in house trainers, meeting specific company needs

Establishing and developing a Driver Training Academy within a large National Distribution company. The company has eight sites around the UK. The training covered all aspects of the transport industry, including, warehouse, traffic office, and driver team.Created and developed a NVQ centre, and Driver CPC centre within the business, offering training to all employees. I also developed external training opportunities, to third party transport companies. I worked closely with the Health & Safety manager, carrying out risk assessments, developing and creating Safe Systems of Work, covering logistics related issues.My role as the Academy Manager was to develop the centre, and develop a qualified and motivated team of trainers around the eight sites. Ensuring Driver legal compliance was maintained to a high standard. To monitor the standard of training, encourage ongoing training of staff, ensuring that the team kept up to date with relevant legislative changes, and maintaining records of all activities within the centre. The NVQ centre was awarded direct claims status after two OCR External Verifier visits.
