Managing the workshop of a specialised mixed fleet, focussing on hiab work and special trailers. Ordering parts planning schedules for service, maintenance repairs and MOT. Carrying out brake testing to remain compliant. Getting back into modern vehicles scanning and diagnostics.

I am course co ordinator for automotive courses delivered at Gainsborough. Involved with curriculum planning and cross college delivery of the EILP system to my peers. I manage a small team and oversee the effective delivery of all courses. I organise the quality control on site for automotive and assist staff in other areas if possible. I have responsibility for oqganising and monitoring IQA activities across the 3 sites. Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail.

Technician invlved with diagnosis and repair of both light vans and commercial vehicles. Preparation and inspection to VOSA standard.Maintaining suitable documentation. Stripping and rebuilding Fire Appliances after replacing heavily corroded chassis legs.

I ran the training for the station and held responsibility for the smooth running of the station adhering to all Health and Safety. I attended most callouts and was responsible for dynamic risk assessment if we were first pump at the scene. I communicated with senior officers on the training needs of staff and subsequent staffing levels.
