A chartered nuclear engineer with a mechanical engineering background who has concentrated on manufacturing roles ranging from New Product Introduction, Production Lead, Continuous Improvement and Capability Acquisition. I have built a record of highly innovative technology development programmes at a fraction of the cost to comparable projects to maximise value and improve product performance with long term, sustainable strategies. Key projects include: Developing new inspection equipment from lab based trials to production, Creating new manufacturing processes for new product introduction utilising process modelling to solve previously unsolvable problems, saving costs and reducing development time in precise and complex fields of engineering including Nuclear and Space.I am a very social person, actively taking organising roles in professional societies where I am able to practice different languages with friends as well as learn about the latest state of the industry. I enjoy organising sport teams and events, music and developing other people as well as myself and have a creative outlet writing a Sci-Phi movie and a TV series.

I set-up a strong, international supply chain to develop a productionised solution, whilst managing changes to QCD. Instrument is calibrated to new non-contact surface roughness ISO standards while managing a parallel university research strand to validate the metrology. EB Welding: Experience leading an electron beam welding project to mitigate downstream rework processes, understanding the evolution of microstructure in thermal effects, employing new techniques against delivery pressure.Process Modelling: Identified and implemented a process modelling system with DEFORM and ABAQUS to improve trial robustness whilst drastically reducing development time and costs. Formed a community with the R-R process modelling team to share resource, knowledge and best practice as well as influencing DEFORM tools with RR expert. Set up inter-business payment systems for funding. Technology Strategies: Analysed the value stream and set the baseline technology strategy to inform long term technology roadmap for the factory. Wrote the holistic technology strategy for a new manufacture facility.Working Group: Active role in the re-organisation of manufacturing engineers; RACI, org structure and seating. I led RACI charts, and participated in setting up accountabilities and project handovers.Process Lead: Responsible for carrying out the health check and improving local performance to corporate procedures for designing and delivering manufacturing capabilities.Intellectual Property: Submissions made to improve manufacturing technologies.Continuous Development: Set up knowledge share with expert presentations given to the local community, setting a baseline and shared understanding to allow the engineers to understand and overcome complex material problems.
